I'd say you have a better chance of getting JFK DHC-8... if we can ever get them up and running.

Yeah, I'm sure. Freedom airlines have a domicile in MCO, not Mesa airlines.

Gosh, you sure showed him, didn't you? Not the brightest, are you?

BTW does mesa still have a $60 cover for interview and are they still makiing people pay for their own hotel when they go for training?

They don't even give you the courtesy of a reach around. I believe J.O. (the head clown) summed it up best...(paraphrased) "If we can still fill newhire classes, I am paying the pilots too much". Enjoy!

Sure showed me....dang....

Ok, what are the chances of getting an MCO domiclie with "Freedom"? I'm not very familiar with the Mesa/Freedom thing other than they are the same thing.

That's a good question. We have a new hire class for Freedom going through the sim now. We have plenty of pilots on the Freedom side. Also, today a standing bid came out with 45 captains moving/upgrading to the Freedom side. That would give us about 150-165 captains on the Freedom side for 30 erj-145. We have never been this fat on any aircraft so something must be happening. The Dash is full, they have all the pilots they need for the 1 dash 100. We had 2 but the FAA shut one down. Right now 2 erj and 2 OLD BE1900D are covering all of the flying in JFK. I've read where Chq is going to cover our @$$ in JFK if we can't get our act together. We also have a contract carrier flying our us air flights from CHS-RDU. The bottom line is we are hurting. Rumor is United is going to drop us so that would free up 6 more erjs and a Butt load of crjs. I have very hard evidence that Raython was called this week by Mesa and asked to locate 15 BE1900. If true you are going to the Mighty Beech. Everything is up in the air. If I were you I would try to get on Skywest, then Chq and Mesa last. Comair, ASA, PSA and all the other will treat you better and you will have a QOL but the upgrade is years away. Mesa sucks but we burn through pilots to the tune of 300+ per year.
Good luck.

Let me tell you Mesa, Freedoom, RAH, Shuttle, CHQ, SKW, TSA, GOJAT,ETC thay are all a bunch of scumbag and I don't give them jumseat ride, And don't care , cause a live at base.

P.S: I'm still having fun bloking you guy's on the PHL Ops Freq, Childish but funny...

So your just an A** to everyone then. I would say that the true bottom of the barrel is MESA Air Group, TSA and Hojets. RAH is one the best run and efficient operations that has ever been around. Just that PHL and LGA are hosing it for everyone. So remind us the next time you need a ride somewhere and we will tell you to find someone who cares.

Just got invited to a groundschool on Monday. The story is Dash 8, and upgrade in conjuction with training. Street Capt. It sounds like the ranks are filled and they might not be needing the streets anymore? Hmmm.....

For those that have done this, how did it work out for you? I understand getting through IOE can take a while. At least there's a little pay coming your way as you're waiting.

The thing about street captains is that you're at the bottom of the seniority list and you could be on reserve for a long time as FO's senior to you upgrade to captain.

The Dash street captains are holding lines right out of training, but there are no Dashes for them to fly.

Yeah, well, knowing Mesa as well as I do <sigh>, those captains are STILL probably sitting 10 hours of ready reserve in uniform, at the airport every single god-dmaned day.

Having no aircaft is no excuse! We could get one online at any second!

I wouldn't worry about them not having the aircraft at this time. The biggest problem has been getting sim time in the 100s. they have 3 AC out in the JFK system at this time. 6 planes are in paint or on conformity checks right now.

Also expect to fly your ass off. Top line out of SYR was all day trips, 14 days off (28 day bid cycle), with 90 hours scheduled. Most turns are 20 minutes.

About being on reserve......This next class is most likely to have reserve for quite a while. There have been 3 classes already that have gone through with street captains. The class on monday will be the 4th.

Uh, #5 will be on-line in early sept. the remaining 7 are all in line throughout the maint. process. CHQ is only flying some of the routes for a month or two.

Really....where you guys get the 100's with installed EGPWS that the FAA is requiring? Thats the reason you only have one online, right?

I did not realize FA's had any authority on the JS.
