That's exactly the point. Even Enron had some good people working in upper management. Mesa is a scumbag outfit and the Majority of pilots who work there are not good people. They will pay to fly and then work for worthless wages resulting in a downfall of the industry. The only thing they care about is flipping switches and wearing stripes on their shoulders. What say you? Tell me where I'm wrong?

Your probably just upset that you are furloughed and you need to blame someone. Because of your attitude, I don't give a crap if you don't have a job, with that attitude I bet you don't find one because your "poor me" attitude is going to shine right on through. Like I said earlier, get a job!!!

By the way, your hilarious. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Now that this thread has been hi-jacked, does anyone still care about Mesa jumseats??

If so, despite what was said on this board about a GOM revision, I took a offline jumpseater (FDX), and hope all other Mesa crews will to the same.

First of all, I've been in this industry for 15 years now, how about you? I've worked for three different airlines and been in two unions. I've worked under two lousy, one average and one industry leading contract, so I don't really need a lecture in labor relations from someone who should be nothing more than a colleague. Second, I think it is a bit narrow minded to think that everyone at Mesa is happy with the status quo. Yes, Mesa has a lousy contract, but if you weren't so busy lecturing, you would probably find that the majority of Mesa pilots are fed up and chomping at the bit to change it. Yes JO is an anti-union CEO, but the majority of MAG pilots are not. How about toning down the disdain for the pilot group and show some support for your 2000 or so union brethren. At least acknowlege that Mesa is not going away and improving the contract will benefit all union members. Thanks for your support.

Finally, an intelligent well thought post. You're on the right track.

Thanks Scuba! Finally someone on Flightinfo who exercises some reading comprehension. It's refreshing to have constructive debate as opposed to the usual juvenille name calling.

And to get this thread back on track....CASS is not online. After being denied on AA yesterday I called the MEC in PHX to see what the deal was. In classic Mesa form, management told the union CASS was up and running when in fact it is not. The union was anxious to get the word out to the pilots and sent the e-mail prematurely. The word from ALPA is that they aren't sure what the problem is, are working to solve it, and will hopefully have it worked out soon. Until then Mesa always takes unlimited jumpseaters in the back, and thanks to all of you out there for the rides home! Stay tuned.

You're wrong.

Here's the latest from the MAG MEC:

Boy has this been a headache for everyone! I tasked your JS Committee Chairman, ********** with finding out where we are really at with CASS. Here is his report:

There's been a ton of email traffic and information about CASS coming to your MEC, most of it very confusing and contradictory, so we thought it best to clarify what we believe is happening.

Here's the situation, to catch you up, at each carrier:

YV- ops specs signed off by FAA on June 9, 2006, awaiting Air Inc to activate the database
F8 - ops specs not yet signed off by FAA
ZV- ops specs not yet signed off by FAA

After Air Inc activates the database, the carrier is CASS active and able to reciprocate CASS jumpseats with all other CASS carriers.

Your Jumpseat Committee and MEC is in touch with the FAA POI's for each carrier, the Mesa IT department, the chief pilot's office for each certificate and Air Inc in an effort to get CASS on property ASAP with the full support of Mesa Air Group senior management.

Estimated time till arrival . . .1-2 weeks for Mesa Airlines, perhaps longer for Air Midwest and Freedom Airlines. We will continue to keep you up to date as we receive information and we thank everyone for their feedback and professionalism during this period. If you have any questions or concerns please contact ***********, MAG Jumpseat Committee Chairman, at your convenience.

I know that in the UA system we've been allowing CASS particpants in the cockpit if UA can verify them (we had a JetBlue guy up front last week). Seems that CASS is working just one way right now. We have the bulletin in our GOM with the rules for CASS so you should be able to get on a YV airplane without any trouble. I haven't been able to get approved on AA yet, although they always let me on in the back; Thanks guys! Stay tuned for updates.

I rode up front last week out of CLT. And was authorized to ride up front yesterday, but didn't need to.

Some body at Mesa Ass lines needs to get their ******************** together cause I was denied last week out of CLT cause the Capt said that CASS was not technically up yet!!!!

Hi!

Your airline's CASS CAN be up and running, and you may have no access to ANY cockpit jumpseats yet.

After your airline's CASS is working, the other airline still needs to do some work to THEIR software to get your CASS system working in their system.

Our CASS has been working since March?, and we're still only in the NWA and JetBlues' systems.

Also, some airlines have 3 letter identifiers, while some of the old CASS software only has space for 2 digits, so your 3 letter CASS code won't work in their software until they update it.

Because of attitudes like yours, is partly the reason why this profession has backstabbers and selfish pilots. It must be someone elses fault.

So were on the same page...... His attitude got you into flying??
