Mesa is not the only ones that going off taxiways.

Thank you for the post.

All the numbnuts would never admit that major airlines have also slided off the runway/taxiways...but hey let's not point fingers at the majors because that's where we all want to work in the future and god forbid if they ever find out who posted negative info bout the majors on this board.

Anyone remembers NWA slide in Grand Forks a while ago?

I'd be happy to post so many incidents where the majors and regionals and many others have gotten stuck or slid off. How about landing at a wrong airport. Oh uh. Let's not touch that subject.

Would you please stop making stuff up about Mesa? If you've going to talk about their contract, read it. Don't assume your old contract is the same as ours.

Here's what would have happened if they had turned around... a flight leaves an ORD gate, sits an hour for deice/departure delays, takes off, holds waiting for destination weather to improve, eventually turns around and comes back to ORD. Total time, 3 hours. Total pay, 3 hours. If we end up anywhere other than our planned destination we get paid block time. Includes return to gates.

Gee, I hope that makes you feel better about yourself and your crappy company! At my airline (and every other) if we do all that and still make it to our destination....we get paid the three hours! What an utter embarrassment! And guess what.....if that flight cancels.....we get paid for that, too!!!

Don't defend your pathetic work rules that you rolled over for JO on!

Thanks, you beat me too it! Yea, yea.... everything 79% said!

They are only paid for a specific block time for a flight. So if the flight from ORD to Madison was averaged at 1.0 hrs then thats what they get.

So basically when your working the hardest (Dealing with weather, Holding, Deicing, Ground Stops etc) you are working for free.

I worked for a Block only airline before, believe me it sucks. People tend to push the limits when they are only getting paid a certain amount of time for a flight.

What part of this post was I wrong about?

The part that I quoted from your first post.

Your second post was very good. That was right on.

I feel fine about myself and my company. Thanks for caring. My point was only that Mesa critics could at least stick to the facts.

Unfortunately, the remainder of their trip was "re-crewed." Therefore, they lost pay and maybe even went below guarantee.

At Mesa, it is financially beneficial to look the other way when a crew discovers a flat tire or other grounding item that would lead to a delay or cancellation. Simply because that crew's remaining schedule may end up being covered by another crew.

It is better said that a Mesa crew is punished financially if they discover and write-up said flat tire.

I hope Mesa sticks it to JO for a better contract. I will admit that I left before contract talks started. I kinda wish I stayed to help out.

Maybe talking with my feet was better...
