I really wish that I could go through CLT and commute to or from work just one time and not have Mesa screw the pooch!! This is the 4th week in a row that MESA has been delayed over 2 hours on a beautiful VFR day here and at my destination! WTF, Please JO close the doors and give the 700's / 900's to the bank or to an airline that knows how to operate an airline. In this instance today , its not ATC, its not MTC, it is delayed due to lack of crew!! Run and staff the airline JO or park your crap, your performance is absoulutely terrible !!

bs.......................................

doork , are you a mesa pilot ?? I have no reason to lie. My family has deep roots embedded into USAirways and the original Pedmont Airlines in Winston and Charlotte. My heart lies with USAirways and I guarantee you that Tom Davis is turning over in his grave seeing his company turn into this and seeing how bad USAirways treats its passeners. I am sitting here in CLT in Tequileria right now writing this waiting on my flight. Why do you say its BS ???

I think the best way to solve all this would be for the DOT to include all the regional carriers that fly under a Major to their performance and ontime data. Right now United can brag about being the #1 ontime airline among the legacy carriers, however if you added the Mesa, ExpressJet, Colgan, Republic, Skywest and whoever the hell else is flying United Express colored planes numbers to their overall ontime data, baggage handling data, passenger complaint data, etc. you would see a huge drop in performance. I'm just using United as an example because they are currently number one. I think this would cause the Majors to reign in their regional partners and start demanding a certain level of service and efficiency.

Yes I am. I know the numbers and they beat the hell out of ASA.
Where do you fly from?
I agree US Airways treats its pax much bad!

Doork,
Any airlines performance numbers can beat anyone elses including ASA when you dont have ACARS... I know for a fact your Airways 900's dont have it. you guys probably walked the two hour delay that I experienced tonight as well and turned it into on time arrival and departure. Its ok, you will be an ASA pilot or on the street before its all said and done . As GENERAL LEE says..... Bye, Bye !!!

Do yourself a favor and not ride on them if you feel your getting "screwed" all the time.If you have the balls, just ask the captain what is going and express your thoughts about Mesa and see if that gets you a ride somewhere.I'm sure your planes have broke down more than once and have screwed guys going to or from work.Get over it or ride on someone else.

I use Mesa through CLT 2-4 times a week and haven't had a problem in long time.

All of you Mesa guys who cant take the heat........where were you when it was negotiation time ?? I have told you all numerous times, the problem at your company is not you or your fellow professional pilots its your mgmt!! Well one or two pilots maybe, like the Mesa pilot who i saw today with a tongue ring !! Are you serious? Best of luck, we will all be on the same list before it is all said and done ;) ;)

This is funny. Don't you know every mesa flight in clt is on time. Just the other day I heard one call for push on the north ramp and call out 25 MINUTES PRIOR TO ACTUAL OUT TIME!!!!!! I'm not making this up I'm not a mesa hater. Don't want anyone to lose their job. Just saying its pretty unbelievable that its allowed to continue.

Everything you have said has already been said several thousand times over and then some ..:smash::smash::smash: :cartman:....Sounds like the Mesa guys are better at taking the heat than you are :laugh:

A Mesa pilot reported to work with a tongue ring?!?!

Don't forget the Mesa trade mark..............if it's a mechanical, dont' cancel- just delay, delay, and delay some more until mainline cancels it for them. Under the contract, if Mesa cancels the flight, they don't get paid for it. However, if USAirways cancels the flight, Mesa gets paid for it anyways- even though it never left the ramp.

yes 777forever, 2 weeks ago, the copilot on a Mesa CRJ-900 had a tongue ring. I realized when I saw that level of professionalism ( or lack there of ) being exhibited why our pay, benefits, and quality of life in this spectrum leaves so much to be desired. Oh yea and what Jumpersaway said !!

That's extremely disturbing. Especially if the captain noticed it and didn't make him take it out. That's about as unprofessional as unprofessional can get. This is an airline, not tattoo parlor.

I agree and unfortunately this level of professionalism isnt being exhibited at just Mesa. While I havent seen a tongue ring at ASA, I have seen black dockers pants, velcro strap wal mart dress shoes, and some fleeces and jackets that are very unprofessional not to mention not being company approved. Its not just Mesa, its all over the regional industry including here at ASA. The example I gave above is just the most extreme I have seen in my 11 year airline career. I blame mgmt whole heartedly for not holding the pilots accountable and sending the ones home who dont comply, not to mention hiring individuals who have no military, command, or professional bearing....
