as much as I deeply don't like how Mesa treats its employees here and their perpetual use of deciptive practices and business tactics (GO!), etc...

In this ONE instance...I think it's a good business decision to get involved in China which is the largest growing economy in the world. And to do it before the Olympics is equally a good move!

And that's all it is...I have no idea how the planes are staffed or by whom, I know nothing about pay or benefits, etc....I'm not defending Mesa in any way, shape or form. Just stating that it was a good business decision (strictly on the surface) to tap into the Chinese market.

"I was sweating because the Kung Pao Mr Steinbrenner! George likes his chicken spicy!"

Okay...... With all the hiring going on at the Majors and Regionals I only have one question.

Who the hell is going over there to fly for them? Going to China to fly for like Cathy Pacific (which we just lost an FO too) I can see. But going to China to fly for Mesa? You gotta have your head examined big time.

I see something bad happening with this.... sad, but I do!

Funny, here you make fun of a Chinese airline name, but then you run to Wal*Mart and buy anything cheap that's made in China.

Just take a deep breath and see how many things in your house are built/manufactured in China and be my guest to post an apology on this board for being a HYPOCRITE!

Hypocrite like many who replied to your post in derogatory manner!

Will the same upgrade minimums apply in China as they do here in the states? (ATP mins) Also, what's to stop Mesa from displacing newbies on the seniority list over there?
