I guarantee that the reason for this is so they can collect on the training contract for the poor saps who wise up and decide to leave after the impending furlough.

He's saying there's no talk of the F word, they're short on pilots. Apparently because of the latest thing with Delta there's been talk in the company about raising the quality of service for their partners. They need more pilots because as the bottom feeder they are Mesa expects to get the most flying out of majors with a tight budget.
