Good point, but sometimes a crappy contract is the byproduct of just trying to save your job. Because 1000 hours of PIC won't get you a job at a major, just about any amount of time will do you no good if you lose your job. Point is, you're da*ned if you do and f*cked if you don't. Voting in the contract is not always about growth, it can sometimes be security. But you're right, the longer a POS contract continues, the harder it is to change. I work for Mesa and I see that, even though some people think we are brain dead. Believe me, I just went from 15 days off to 8 days by upgrading to captain. Sometimes I ask myself why.....
