Update:

Mesa operated four planes under the Go banner, as of recent.

One aircraft was sent back on Saturday, as posted by Poahi with flight aware tracking, thank you. In addition, one plane is cannibalized on the ramp in Honolulu. That leaves two operating aircraft in total.

I am 100% certain that there are no plans to eliminate or downsize Go. One aircraft was sent to C check saturday by way of Victorville where it will be painted white for use as an airways spare for the next 4-6 weeks. It will then be in C check until mid December. One Go aircraft is undergoing minor repairs in HNL (it will be back in service today or tomorrow) that leaves 4 aircraft with 3 lines of flying until December when Go will be back to 5 aircraft and 4 lines. We may add additional aircraft as we wind down the 200's at Airways.

Trust me this is a non issue, move onto to a more news worthy subject, please and stop spreading stupid rumors and lies.

That would describe most posts on FI

there is possibility, RAH pulls out and restart mokulele with caravan drivers. So they can restart the SLI arbitrations again and further dragging out the negotiation! Perfect!

Atrue VP of mesa under the name Rene on FI but Chris between 8-5

Sooner or later Mesa is going to have to address the steady loss of market share. As the travel industry stabilizes, someone is going to come in and take even more market share.

The travel industry hasn't had a stable year since Wilbur and Orville flew that first flight. What regional company is any better or stable? If you ask me, they are all at risk of bankruptcy as contracts expire before the leases do.

This thread is about go!.
go!/Mokulele's only competitor is doing quite well and adding flights and market share and enjoys pricing power.

If you are talking about parent Mesa, there is no doubt to most of us that the calamity is a reflection on management. Better and more stable regionals include Skywest, RAH and Pinnacle. Mesa's outlook appears weak and staffing levels appear to support that view.

So true. I must agree.

And if you weant to take a longer historical view in general look at the history of railroads in the US. Similar labor issues. Profits/losses based on macro events out of their control. Supersized egos moving pawns across the board. Not making a dime (overall) since their conception.

I have wondered if they would not put some 700s out there as the UAL contract goes away.

FWIK the contract on the first 5 where to expire this year but have been extended through 2012.

That's the persistent rumor we've all gotten. But still no official announcement.....

The first 5 700's have not been extended yet. Unless extended they will be removed from service at the end of 2012. We were told in ground school that United wants to keep the aircraft and they are very close to an extension agreement. In any case, Airways has an interest if United does not extend.

Where do the pilots at the other bases stand on this?

PHX captain Rep is a traitor.....he should not be an ALPA Rep.......he gives info to management all the time..shame on him, Mesa pilots should treat him as a s---b

Your credibility may be in doubt, unless GO operates 747's?

unwashed,

Agreed, credibility is key, and credibility has not been established. I've recently spoke with a Go pilot, and the opposite is what was told.

Slats,

What information has your source heard? No criticizing, just curious.

Thanks
