I was in SBA yesterday 01/07 and there was a Mesa RJ that had mechanics all over it and the nose was opened. When I asked the ramper he said that they tried to depart with the ADG deployed 4 hours earlier. I was told the tower had to tell them the thing was hanging out.
My questions:
1. How could the ADG deploy on the ground except by pulling the handle?
2. How could they not know it was out? Wouldn't there be all kinds of status messages etc?
