Got a chance of a fairly well paid [$40k] corporate job flying a Meridian, won't be a lot of flight hours though. Compared to my current job flying a Seneca II, I only have about 250 hrs ME, go for the turbine time or stick with the the piston multi?

well...

I would say do what's best for YOU..

How are we supposed to answer??

Just looking for some advice...sorry. I want to do what's best for me but that's the issue, how does Meridian time stack up against piston multi time?

It's Turbine PIC, but how is it viewed, I mean if I get a load of it will it do me a lot of good or do people look as it as being a simple airplane to fly that happens to have a turbine engine on it.

To be honest, it's bewildering trying to figure out the "best" thing to do when you're starting out in this business, I just want to fly and earn enough money to keep my wife happy and pay the mortgage. I think I'll just go with the one that offers the most money, thanks...

Take the job and get a part time job in a multi on the side, multi piston time is worth more, but there's nothing wrong with single turbine time.

NOW YOU'RE TALKING!!

always go with the one that pays the most money..

:D

always go with the one that pays the most money..

Especially if you won't be flying much and the company doesn't mind you having a part time job, I was making $43,000 as a King Air pilot but only flying 1-2 days a week and only went in when I flew, so I started contract flying on a Westwind and Lear and was making some good money for only flying 4 days a week and I was building jet time.

You'll gain some great EFIS time in the Meridian too (it has a Space Shuttle cockpit - full glass) - I also hear it's fun to fly. I say fly as a multi instructor on the side...
