The 15 hr multi time you need to go for you mei, is it required to be in the same make of plane that you take your checkride in? Thanks

Log at least 15 hours as pilot in command in the category (AIRPLANE)and class (MULTIENGINE) of aircraft that is appropriate to the flight instructor rating sought; and

I cant beleive they only req 15 hours of multi to teach multi....no wonder all these new guys we get suck.....

That's wha the regs say. Insurance is a different story when it comes to actually being an MEI in practice.

Insurance will be the number one hold back for me.
