Did your concession package specifically state that in exchange for the cuts, you were gauranteed the new airplanes? If so, sounds like grievance time.

AWAC ALPA is trying to argue something similar. We took our cuts to maintain the current (at that time) level of United flying. Seeing how that didn't happen, ALPA is grieving the concessions as it seems the Company didn't hold up their end.

We'll see.

The LOA said Comair WILL get 10 50 seaters and 25 70 seaters. All Fred Betrayal needed to do was get one new airframe into service and the concessions went into affect. When asked about the 70's, all Fred Betrayal would say is something like, "well, you know, we have to see about financing and talk to the manufacturers, and see if we can get a good deal on these planes...." In other words, he had no clue if he could get these planes but he gave us an LOA that said he WILL get them for us. It was just a ploy to get concessions out of us - nothing more, nothing less. If he was going to be honest with us, he should have said, "if you take concessions we'll think about seeing what we can maybe do about maybe thinking about getting some new planes or something." Instead he chose to mislead 61% of the pilots into thinking that he would new 70's for us.

Sounds like 'ol Fred is just typical dishonest managment. Our AWAC leaders said we had a long term agreement with UAL (and that meant concessions in effect for the work groups at AWAC)... turns out it wasn't signed AND UAL payed AWAC at the old higher rates while the AWAC "Leadership Team" took concessions from the employees. Turns out AWAC was making BANK while the employees took pay cuts to keep their jobs.

I really like the job except for the crooks.

Anyone who has spent anytime in the DCI system lately knows who Fred is. And yes, he is a real a$$!

Yeah, sucks for you guys. Those of you that signed the "STUPID" deal got caught up in the SJS! I was really disappointed in that pay freeze ya'll agreed to! We told them to STICK IT and STILL got the jets! Fred really is one MEAN Wizard!:angryfireHe waved his magic wand and you guys all fell for it! Well not ALL!
