I have an opportunity to be SIC on a Part 91 flight. The aircraft requires two pilots. My last FAA phsyical, First Class, was Jan 01.

What class medical is required for the flight?

Is my medical a Second Class now or is it a Third Class?

Hi...

SIC qualifications for a Part 91 flight of an aircraft that requires more than one pilot flight crewmember stipulate that you need only be a Private Pilot appropriately rated in the aircraft flown, in addition to certain criteria listed in 61.55.

So, you'll be exercising the privileges which will require you to hold at least a third class medical....which is what yours is at this time.

Regards
