I'm a newly minted CFII with and will be needing a medical soon. I wen't for the 1st class when I started my training. My question is. Is there any reason I should get a 1st class now since I'll be instructing for the next few years anyway and won't need anything more than a 2nd? Thanks for your help. cougar

As long as you are younger than 35years of age, the second class and first class medicals are virtually the same. So there is no reason not to get the first class
