Hey, just a quick question for any pilot who may have had, had a friend that had, or knows something about having had cancer. I had it 2 yrs ago (thankfully got rid of it), but wanted to know if this is a disqualifying past history on an airline medical exam? Or, on the other hand, is that just what it is, past history (doesn't matter to them)? I have always been able to get a first class medical from the FAA, under a special issuance, and have to renew it every 12 months, next year ever 18 months, next year every 24 months, ect., ect., until getting back to the regular 36 month cycle. Is having a fist class medical good enough when it comes to an ailine medical exam? Thanks for your posts.
