Hi all,
So I was sitting in my chair, doing nothing out of the ordinary, when all of a sudden I get this 'blotch' in the center of my eye ( kinda like when you're looking directly in a light but smaller ) that just didn't want to go away.
Decided I should get it checked out. Right eye checked out 20/20, left eye couldn't even see a 12 inch letter 'E'..
Hmm.. No good.. Off to a retina specialist who took pictures, injected me with some colored dye and sent me home. Turns out a veine popped right in front of the optic nerve.. Quite a nice picture, but I digress...
Come back in 2 weeks.
So it's been a couple of weeks now and although it's gone down significantly I still can't read a number plate. I can see everything surrounding it but not what's dead center. And yes, it can hide a 747 at altitude.
Haven't been up since but my medical's coming up in a month or so. Anyone know if you can fly / pass a medical with one-three-quarter eye?
