why does the media always refer to John Kerry as....

John Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran,...

i thought this stuff didn't matter in 1992

The media exists to make money, not to inform, hence it'll do what it needs to make stories more interesting. There's no such thing as impartial reporting so don't bother looking for it. You'll know things are okay in the world when both Democrats and Republicans are complaining of "media bias".

My personal strategy is to obtain my news from several different sources and find the truth somewhere in between.

No kidding.

It is no wonder that he wanted to butter that intern's muffin...

Has the media always, historically, been as liberal as what they have been in the last 10-15 years?
I think the rise of 24 hour news networks has made them very scewed since they have to 'search' for stories to sustain themselves. They rarely report anything positive.
I try to read the WSJ when I can. They seem to be pretty impartial.

The media has been liberal for a long time. They just used to be a lot more subtle about it. The good news is that the bias is a lot easier to discern than it used to be.

Eventually Kerry's voting record and his not-so-honorable anti-war-morale-busting activities will be brought up, and he'll be slaughtered.
