So you are flying along at the MDA and you accidentally bust it. I can't remember the tollerance for initiating a go-around.
 
In theory, if you go below at all you should go around. Are you looking for PTS standards? If so, for which rating.
 
I think the PTS say +50/-0, but in the real world if you descended 50 feet low, would you really go around or just make the correction and continue and would you be busted if the FAA was on board?
 
If you drop below on a checkride, and recognize it and make an immediate correction, it's not an automatic failure. If you have an autopilot, use the autopilot on circle until you are ready to leave MDA.
