As we were departing LGA yesterday morning, we heard a Mayday call on 121.5. The mayday caller said an aircraft had gone down (can't remember the call sign) and they were circling over the wreckage. I was wondering if anyone in the NY city area yesterday knows what happened?
 
Hmmm...I live in New York City...didnt hear about that. The place where that occured though (according to the report) appears to be Farmingdale, New Jersey and not New York ...
 
The pilot did not die in the crash I work at Alliare airport flying the skydivers and Iknow all the guys over there the man is alive
