Wouldn't it be cool to have a FLTINFO convention?
We could all wear name tags, "HELLO I'm .....", so we know who's who. We can put a wrestling mat in the middle of the room for the cat fights although I think that most would chicken out if they got face-to-face.

As for the wind check....maybe we can look for an after market battery fire detector for you Cartoonjet guys.....BTW how's the interview process going for the Everglades station manager???

Just like we can't escape our checkerd history (EAL scabs, ValuJet, SabreTech, everglades) you can't escape the fact that your company couldn't pay it's bills and had to hide under a judges robe. Thats all guy, now go charge up the golf cart and go cruising and enjoy the nice weather in Atlanta!

If your last few posts are what you call "civil," then I'd hate to see uncivil. I'm not going to get involved in this silly little game, though, because I know that most DAL pilots are good guys. You seem to be the exception. I guess everybody has their 5%.

If you aren't busy pointing out how others "have lowered the bar..." at another LCC, you find the time in your busy schedule to drop bombs on Delta......

Tell you what, let's say that Airtran goes into BK (not wishing it, just work with me) , would it be because Delta forced you into it?? No, it was your own fault. Just like it was OUR own fault, chasing you guys down the toilet, reaching for that family to Disney or the trailer park folks going to Vegas.

If you want a truly market based system without a government to step in when stupid managers take crazy bets, then have at it. Then that means Legacy carriers don't have to give up slots at airports we helped build.....The big airlines were structured around the Government telling them what they can or cannot do. You guys have the privilege of charting your own course as you grow (and I maight add, good job where others have failed miserably). To say it's unfair for a 78 year old airline to use a legal process called bankruptcy as a tool is hypocritical.

I would be looking over your shoulder at the new LCC's ready to start taking you guys on, cause we are picking up our ball and taking it home to International....which in itself, I am truly skeptical....

Good luck on the contract, how's it going anyway?? (all kidding aside) Haven't heard much....any new negotiations??

That reminds me of a great story....I flew with a Captain overseas that absolutely HATED this foreign controller that we'd always talk to in another Gulf country whenever we'd come from the far east......This guy worked 24/7....anyway

It goes like this:

Controller: "turn right heading 360"

Captain: "We can't, there are large T-storms around and we are passing through a hole!!"

Controller: "I say again, TURN RIGHT HEADING 360"

Captain: "Hey pal, when's your next day off?"
(Getting Moderate chop passing between cells)

Controller: "Sir, excuse me??"

Captain: "On your next day off, wear a Pink Carnation when you leave your house, so I know who to knock out when I come down there!!"

Back in the day....when Pilots were in charge.......That guy was a legend!!
