Exactly.....
Hey caravan man, you loaded your own freight??? you did an airborne express run huh? or UPS maybe.

Yup, Flybet, we loaded our own...UPS run. I worked for Planemasters flying a 'Van. The last route I was on was pretty easy though: about 100-200lbs at night, then about 1000lbs average in the morning. Very, very light loads so it wasn't too bad!!

Vallyman, I don't know if you're open to moving or if you're looking at MRA if they're close to you, but check out www.planemasters.com because I talked to a buddy of mine who's still there and their business is growing. I guess they've added a few runs lately, not sure where, but it was a good company when I was there and the pay wasn't too bad; good planes too. 4-day runs started $28k/yr and 5-day runs started at $30k/yr, health ins @ 90 days. Pretty decent pay for a Caravan unless you're on the FedEx side of them.

No no no... I was talking about Planemasters, not MRA.

oh sorry, i know that i can read.

do you know if they are hiring, i looked on there web site and could not find anything

If you can get a job at MRA go for it. Good maintenance. Pay checks are small, but they don't bounce. And, out stations don't have to deal with politics. Do your year, get some experience as well as turbine PIC then put it to use some where else. Like any small cargo company you are expected to leave shortly after your contract expires.
