Does anyone have any info about Mar-Tech Engineering out of Jacksonville? They fly light aircraft doing cable TV leak detecting.

A friend of mine flew there years ago. 1999 or 2000, so keep in mind that this info is probably about as good as what you paid for it.

He was hired on there at around 700 hours or so to fly the 210. They told him that it would be around 7-8 months to get into the Partenavia, which he didn't stick around long enough to do. The trips go out for somewhere around 2 weeks at a time, I forget exactly how it worked, but I know he would leave his base and run a large circuit of cities where testing needed to be done, spending a couple days in each city while slowlying working his way back home. I think they sent two pilots on the trips and they took tooks between flying and running the test equipment. He left because he found a job flying a Baron and wanted to get the multi time. Overall he seemed to think that the company was not too bad, but found the maintenance to be somewhat lacking.

Like I said, this is second hand information from a 5 years ago, so take it for what it's worth. I'm sure there will be others who who have better information than that, but I figured I'd throw this out there for you in case you didn't get any other responses.
