All we did was list interview dates & number of folks per day, and then listed hopeful class dates next to it. Everything was a (big) wag, and it's already a totally different landscape. We could do it if we knew when SWA was going to start classes, but without that it's simply a running tally of how many you think are in the pool. You can come up with a range of numbers there, too, so it gets fuzzier. But if you simply divide the number of folks you think there are above you in the pool by 20 (or whatever number you think will be in each class), then you have the number of classes that will start before you. Then put each of those classes against a date- be it the first three wednesdays or just the second monday (whenever you think they'll start classes) then you have a start date for yourself. Trouble is, it's going to change every singe time a class starts and/or doesn't start, so really you just end up writing down what happened, not what was going to happen. All in all, not much more than a waste of time. I prefer to sit and stare at the phone. Staaaaare at it. Both techniques will have an equal impact on getting you to class sooner!
Cheers!
