Independence Air executives take pay cuts to keep carrier afloat
Independence Air said it cut executive salaries and benefits to counter high fuel prices, the Washington Post reports. The company's chief executive, chief financial officer and president took pay and benefit cuts and agreed to cancel some stock options, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The cuts will save the airline about $2.2 million this year. The Washington Post (free registration) (3/19)
