Agreed........diligints is a must in aviation. Accidents happen and so does negligance. Accidents must be prevented and negligence must be punished. FOD is usually a negligance, but must also be looked at as an accident.

I have never had an experience with FOD, but I am sure it is more of a problem in the helicopters that you fly. (because of all the moving parts) I have had problems with mechanics installing parts incorrctly that caused some malfunctions. I know they are suppose to have books out while they fix the A/C so would this be an accident or negligance. Whos to say?

Camps don't require nor have IA's, A+P's are not required either to work on 121 aircraft. One just has to be under the supervision of and A or P that has completed the 121 cert training program.
