I have a colorful language myself, but our society needs to have some common sense when you're in areas like airplanes, restaurants, etc. Save the F-bombs and similarities for closed door locations.

I think American society has lost a lot of its class over the years.

This guy sounds like a complete loser.... Sorry "looser".

Glad the crew turned around and tossed him off. People have indeed lost class and common sense and are out of control. For some strange reason, they become worse aboard an airplane.
Now the jackass wants to sue. I have 2 words for him.....
:bomb:

It's amazing how times have changed. 40-50 years ago, people would have dressed up in suits to fly. It was a special occasion. Today, nevermind the fact that we work hard to ensure a passenger safely get to their destination, they are dropping f-bombs because they are delayed 45 minutes.

Haha. We're building quite the reputation for ourselves, aren't we? Amazing...we hold people accountable for their actions on our turf and they have the nerve to sue.

Sooo sad, but true. I am one of those fortunate (and old!) enough to remember the good old days. ;)

I am happy that the ASA pilots had the cojones to return to the gate and dump that piece of trash off their aircraft. Maybe if more pilots did this, low-life passengers would start behaving....(i can dream, can't I??) :)

PAX need to be held accountable for their behavior. Now if I would just stop hearing pilots swear in public, I would be happy.

Kicking of a guy from Brooklyn for swearing would be a lot like kicking a Texan off for saying "Fahr" or "Gayhus" or "Sody-pop".

There had to be more than this. One comment to the person sitting next to you? This seems a bit frivolous and a return to the gate unmerited.

Sitting in an airplane on a tarmac in Detroit, lifelong Brooklynite Robert Sayegh turned to his seatmate and said, "What's taking so ********************ing long to close the overheard compartments?" Shortly thereafter, the pilot turned the airplane around. Police removed Sayegh from the plane for being "disruptive."

There absolutely has to be more to it than what is being reported. The man immediately started calling the media as soon as he was kicked off the flight. He's just looking for publicity. I've yet to read one report out of 30 where he isn't referred to as a "children's book author". People will start googling this turd's name and he will eventually sell more books.

Yup...and yelling for his lawyer....
Dr. Seuss he ain't! :puke:

Didn't ASA apologise to him and put him on the next flight? I thought I heard that somewhere...

If thats true I'd imagine the Captain and FA must have had words with the CP office and inflight supervisor.

Male FA, it that had anything to do with it! Also, the passenger was on TV and said the delay was for maint. to come and ducktape an overhead bin shut. He said it under his breath, but the FA was sitting next to him in the rear of the plane.

Oh, male FO gets pissy cause he heard the F word and complains to the Captain. The skipper escalates it for some dumb reason and what happened happens. Is that it?

F Bombs should not be dropped. I'm not saying they should. But was there a, "sir, there's families onboard, please refrain from that." or any other type of suggestion made? I do get the feeling much of the story is missing. Nobody gets the plane turned around for one f bomb unless VERY bad decisions are made by the WHOLE crew along the way.

For some reason I get the feeling he was probably acting obnoxious waaaay before dropping the f-bomb. Many pax who are annoyed due to a delay decide to rile other pax up by speaking loudly and acting like BMOC. Maybe the FA felt the situation was escalating and wanted no part of a mutiny.
Of course the jackass passenger now acts like Mr. Innocent.....
BTW, didn't I read he admitted to being hung over from a wedding? In that case, he had no business being on the plane (since he was probably still a bit inebriated.)
