I assume no radar over that sea. If true, the plane is in the water. Damn.

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam said the plane had failed to check in as scheduled while it was flying over the sea between Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Vietnam Navy confirms it crashed into the ocean. They are getting an ELT signal from the aircraft. CPT is very experienced according to the report. FO is a little on the young side. Hopefully there are some survivors but it doesn't look good. God Speed to those that perished.
