SAFTGLO SELECTED FOR SKYWEST'S 200 CRJs
STG Aerospace has won a major contract with SkyWest Airlines, the largest regional carrier in the US, to supply its entire Bombardier CRJ fleet with the highly successful SafTGlo system.
The supply deal is one of largest single orders in STG Aerospace’s eleven-year history, with a total of over 200 aircraft shipsets of the leading ‘glow-in-the-dark’ (photoluminescent) floorpath marking system being delivered to SkyWest over the next year. The airline is installing SafTGlo to replace the OE electrical floorpath marking system.
Gary Girard, President of STG Aerospace Inc., said: “This is another very significant order for STG. SkyWest is a new customer and placing a first order with a market value in excess of US$500,000 is a testament to SafTGlo’s deservedly strong reputation for low maintenance and eliminating departure delays experienced with faulty electrical floorpath lighting. We look forward to providing excellent lifetime service following the completion of this first order.”
Peter Stokes, Managing Director, STG Aerospace, said: “It’s highly significant when the largest regional airline in North America chooses to install SafTGlo across its fleet. SkyWest is a very influential player among the world’s regional airlines and its order is another valuable endorsement of SafTGlo and its appeal to all sectors of the commercial aviation industry.”
SafTGlo is installed in over 4,000 aircraft around the world operated by over 300 airlines.

SkyWest is a leading regional airline based in St George, Utah, operating between 137 cities in 37 US states and 5 Canadian provinces. It operates over 1,700 flight departures daily and carried over 19.5 million passengers in 2006.
STG Aerospace was established in 1995 to provide simple and cost effective solutions for safety critical applications in commercial and military aircraft. In 1995 STG’s first ever world patent covered the use of photoluminescent [PL] emergency way guidance systems on aircraft.
SafTGlo, made by STG Aerospace, is the world’s leading photoluminescent (PL) floorpath marking system. The unique PL systems ‘store’ and simultaneously emit light giving highly visible emergency exit guidance for up to 16 hours in darkness, after a short period of ‘charging’ with normal cabin lighting. SafTGlo offers a low cost alternative to electrical systems. It is 100% reliable and is already installed in thousands of aircraft around the world.
Also covered in STG’s patents is the newest addition to the SafTGlo range, branded ColorMatch, a narrow variant of the best selling SuperSeal system. At just 18mm wide and available in up to 300 colour options, ColorMatch is a ‘half weight’ product, particularly suited to cabins where aesthetic considerations are important. ColorMatch is certified for over 65 aircraft types through its 39 FAA/EASA STCs.
STG Aerospace is the holder of two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
STG Aerospace, Inc. is the US subsidiary of STG Aerospace. It was established in 1999.

It's 2:30 am and I'm bored but it was announced a week ago, if anyone cares. It is a major announcement, sort of, right?
