FYI - An FAA 1st Class AND 2nd Class Medical are both equivalent to the ICAO First Class Medical

Yawn! Schpittfire, any more comments to vent your xenophobia? Ever looked north, south, east or west of France? Same thing applies (shock, horror!)

On a slightly different note, a UK company I worked contract for PIC(/P1) typed all their F/Os even the ones who did not have ATP(L) flight minimums. Never really figured out how it works, or cared to.

Our place only requires a 2nd Class. However...one of our guys pointed out that he maintains a 1st Class because if he ever has a medical issue its easier to regain a 1st Class than to upgrade it in the aftermath.
