What ever happened to the MAIR vs XJ ALPA 19-seat scope court case? The last I heard was MAIR was in some court in Texas trying to get the scope letter thrown out. That was way back when there was snow on the ground. Anything new since then?

Anyone?

Well since Mesaba no longer has anything to do with MAIR, I would guess it is now a moot point.

Not really. MAIR is still bound by the scope side-letter, regardless of who owns Mesaba.

Hardley a moot point. XJ pilots bought and paid for that scope at the negotiating table. I can't imagine that it is something that will be given away without a fight.

The letter binds MAIR and XJALPA regardless of ownership.

OK, so it's obvious that Bushhatesyou has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

Just go back to you 'I Love Hillary Clinton' website, and leave the airline chit chat to people that are up on their current events.

Thank-you

Trying for a venue change last I heard. The goal is MN from what I heard. Grrreeaatt ... we had such good luck there last time. The Mair argument regarding the letter is funny!

Just wondering, how is the letter able to be enforced when MAIR and XJ have nothing to do with eachother? -M. Sanko Frmr XJ

Oh and Spin.. f&ck off... Here's to you Mr. Annoyoms Flight Info Guy..

Because the letter was between ALPA, Intl and MAIR Holdings. The letter is a binding contract, and MAIR isn't released from their obligations until ALPA agrees. Mesaba Aviation has nothing to do with the letter, so the fact that the company was purchased is irrelevant to the letter.
