I worked for him about then. Wouldn't trust him at the business end of a shotgun, or anywhere else. To quote a former chief pilot of his, he is a "one man pilot screwing machine." Maybe you could check out Twin Cities at LEW. Lots of 402's and a kingair, I think. Ask pilots in the NE about Caruso. Really.

If you want to work in Maine try to get on at TC, they're way better people to work with.

I had an old copilot try to get on at Maine Aviation about a year and a half ago, he had around 13-1400 hours I want to say and their chief at the time told him he didnt have the time required by FAR135 to fly as a pic for them in their 310. My partner tried to explain to him that he had the time to pic under 135 but was snapped at over and over untile he finally said I'll get back to you when I have the time. I have heard they have changed some key figures in the past year, hopefully it has improved.

Theres plenty of other operators in the northeast that are way more reputable than Maine Aviation.
