Jepview runs great under Apples "Boot Camp", basically you would shut down Mac OSX and then reboot into Windows X? then your MacBook or MacBookPro would essentially be a windows laptop. Linux users have been doing this for years.

So we (mac users) shouldn't have any trouble. TC

i used bootcamp for a while but recently switched to parallels. parallels lets you run windows in a window while you are booted up in os x. when i had bootcamp you had to choose at startup whether you wanted to run in windows or mac, with parallels you bootup in mac and then can run windows within mac, much easier if you ask me.

The above is accurate but remember that with parallels, while running both OS X and Windows, you are seriously sapping your processer. I know the Macbooks are laden with power but it takes BIG BIG oomph to run the GUI for both platforms. I've been told of issues with both running at the same time. The Macbook WILL do it (and do it well) just be aware that you won't be "running at full speed" while you have both going.

(Typed on my mac ;) )

my main concern is the ability to run jeppview 3 on the machine. apparantly it will work according to you guys. "darkside" here i come!

The plan with some in my department is to get a Macbook, load JeppView and bootcamp and see if it works. If so, great. If not, back she goes. TC
