Is MAC needing FO's in the ATR out of GSO? What is that life like? Considering getting back into the game and definately not in a regional capacity. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks CE. I saw that the other day but JSFirm has a habit of recycling thier ads so I did not know how accurate it was. Also, looking for info about the lifestyle as a MAC ATR FO, etc.
Got any info on that?
Thanks,

I've been out of the 121 side for a year or so.
If you're interested in quality of life, I'd suggest a
Caravan run. Better pay than the F/O and usually
more free time. Then go to a F/O slot (and keep the
Van pay) and hope for a quick upgrade.

Schedules are usually 4 or 5 day weeks depending on
the run. If you bid (and win) a specific route, you
stay there. If you are a floater, you get every 5th
week off and will likely travel depending on the
floater base. You get travel pay and per diem.

This, like every job, has good and bad. This will likely
be the last airline to have a layoff. That means
a lot these days.

Sawmill,

GSO is not a base, is just a destination for ILM & EWN run.
You might be base in GSO as a floater, something to discuss during the interview.

Hope this help.

MAC FO:
This is not a place for time building (300+hrs/yr)
Runs are out and back, 4-5 night/wk.
10 just upgraded before the end of summer,
it'll probably be 3-5yrs to upgrade again.
Bases:Raleigh, MEM, IND...all floaters.
QOL is good if based, otherwise you float all over
the system, alot of reserve or stdby.
Pay, check APC.

Attritions mostly at the bottom, alot of lifers. :pimp:
