I'd say average is 55-60K. Keep in mind you're not being paid just to aviate. You are the FA, Dispatcher, TERPS Specialist, Ramper, A/C Cleaner, the list goes on... If you're talking daily contract pilot rates, I've seen everything out there. I wouldn't do it for less than $500 a day plus expenses. Your mileage may vary.
