Hey everyone.

I wanted to pick your brain for some useful and nice to know tips on the Lear 60.
I have been flying the LR 55 for about a year and recently upgraded to the LR 60.
I know what Bombardier taught me about the plane but I was wondering if any of you had some more tips. Anything that you can pass on would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Like you, I had a lot of Lear time, and then went into the 60, PIC. The glass wasn't too hard to grasp. It was the actuall flying of the plane. The engines have much more push than I even expected. "Takeoff procedure: 3 clicks and hang on", is our joke.
One thing to watch is the fuel; with a full load you may only be able to carry 1 passenger and a small suitcase; so it's not real range friendly in that aspect.
I don't care for how it handles at about 410. You'll feel that buzzing over the wing; it's just a little un-nerving for me.
Good luck!

We have an APU airplane with a 14,800 BOW. With it topped off, we can put a 1000 pounds in the cabin. Four to five folks and bags no-sweat.

Had the plane a year. The ONLY time I've topped off is going to the west coast from the east.

Most times landing weight is the most restrictive, so unless you plan to max-range it every time, you won't be fillin' her up.

Most folks that are buzzing the winglets are doing it because they are heavy and are flying at or very near MMO. Or they climbed too heavy too soon. At .78 and on the correct altitude card for weight, there is no buzz.

Guess I'm not pushing her hard enough! :)
