Anybody here of any details of a Lr-60 going off the runway in FOK last night??

From the NTSB prelim, it sounds like a breaking/anti skid problem.

While the captain reported clearing the discrepancy during the descent, it would appear they still landed with a problem.

From the pilots statements, it sounds like brakes were locked up on the left upon landing...never heard of that on a lear.

No TR's is also odd.

Pretty crappy too....600 over and 1/4.

Be interesting in reading the final report, that's for sure.

Is this a SRQ charter outfit?

Interesting report and yes it is the SRQ company. They also had a Westwind go off the runway a couple of months ago I believe they might be totalling that one.

I was in FOK yesterday and looked at the plane, it is f-up bad. Both mains were sheared off, huge cave in on left wing, flaps severly damages, huge dent in nose cone, nose wheel messed up and misc other things. According to mechanic, this is all second hand info but he said better off salvaging parts off the plane to much money to fix and would never be the same again.

Dont know what caused this problem but a 150' wide runway with about 25' on each side of that is paved to. Wasnt there so cant speak, but glad noone was hurt
