climb record???

Pete,you sound like you might be able to shed some
light on the subject.Just how fast will that 28 climb?
I met pilot the other day who swore that Neil Armstrong's
climb record was six minutes to FL450!!! I guess with
about 1000 pounds of fuel and a cold day that might
be possible.What do you think?

The Lear 28 that Armstrong flew was at Weststar being worked on while I was there a few months back. There is a plaque inside near the door commemorating the occasion. The airplane itself is white and green with a shamrock on the tail. I don't know who owns it.
