may even illicit intelligent responses

Even though nobody commented on it, I just noticed my spelling gaff and decided to call it on myself. Two stroke penalty or loss of hole if match play!
I hope I don't elicit any illicit responses.

Best,

Everyone please stop with the "I have 300 hours and need a job other than instructing job" type questions. Your only asking for abusive comments when you ask stupid questions like that. Thankyou for your understanding!

Just read each reply with a British accent, and they will all sound much more intelligent.

Flight instruct. If you don't have your cfi, get it, then flight instruct. What is with people not wanting to pay dues anymore and just want that cushy job to fall in their laps?

Listen to these old flight instructors, they're like the 747 captain telling how easy it was to get his job and can't understand why you can't do the same. Maybe the reason why people don't want to instruct is because they know a bunch of unemployed instructors. The market for instructing was great a few years ago, but then we had 9/11, rising gas prices, airline troubles/lowering wages, and best of all: guys hanging around flight instructing beyond 2000 hours waiting for the perfect job leaving little room for new guys to come in, who say "just instruct like I did."
I have my CFI, but found it easier to get a bid for a right seat in a brasillia than to get a job in the right seat of a C152.

well about 35 to 40K a year. 40 hours a week. Flexable schedule.

How does that compare to a pilot gig?

Half the hours and the same money! Shoulda been a fast food restaurant manager...those guys have it all figured out!!!

I've seen several posts for different aerial survey companies looking for pilots. Great way to build time and experience....You better say thankyou though. I flew for Landcare for about 5 or 6 months...had a blast and even made a few dollars.
