I'm sitting here after being up since 11pm when the train went by, then being kept up by the 18 wheelers on the interstate next to the hotel. Got a 5 am show. Anyone else have hotels like this? Anyone able to get the company to move you out of one? If so, how'd you do it? I'm sick of this horsesh!t.....

Thanks!

You must be in our new lousy hotel in FLO!!! I am on my way there today!! Can't wait!!!

Ask any Horizon pilot about the days inn in BLI.

Semen stained sheets, beds as hard as a rock, carpets that are literally dirty as he!!, drug deals going down in the parking lot right outside your window. Anybody want to add?

To give the company some credit, they finally changed hotels a couple of weeks ago after lots of bitching. We went through the union and sent a stack of hotel violations but to tell you the truth I'm not sure what the last straw was that finally made them take action. I'd sure like to know what it was. I'll sure miss the good 'ol days inn!!

Not.

The Hotel Pennsylvania in Manhattan was just sued by a guest who had HUGE bed-bug welts all over her body. The pictures on CNN were disgusting. I know that Delta crews and probably many others overnight there after switching from the Best Western at Times Square - another "gem."

I have slept in many hotel rooms in which the bed bugs actually felt like POP ROCKS all over your legs...

Actually the hotel in BLI that used to be the Days Inn is now the Meridian Inn because they got thrown out of the Days Inn chain. Days Inn pretty much disowned the place. You forgot to mention too about that place that the lift always smelled like a fat lady who hadn't washed herself for about 3 weeks. And the angry looking van driver who would never touch a bag ever, even for one of our 60 something flight attendants.

French fries. Under the sheets. Same bed, same crew member, two days in a row, even after complaining to the desk.

Good riddance.

Sounds like a real gem...

Yeah Surf, Flobag......

The worst part of FLO is still the "rainbow express" cab ride... And the fights with the other crew members over who gets stuck sitting in front.

Its real scary when the head of all the 'Butches' is driving and trying to talk on her Phone at the same time! Jeez, talk about scary!!

Wasn't impressed with Wellesley Inn at HPN. I know there are worse, but had to consistently wait for 45+ minutes (at 11:30 pm) for the freakin' van to show up at the terminal! I know we (Colgan), PSA, and Shuttle use them. Is there anything better in HPN? Least bang for a $200/night hotel! Thought they'd have their act together, seeing as they're located in a filthy-rich New York suburb!

...

Our old AVP hotel, Victoria Inn i think? What a dive. Thought about sleeping in my uniform a couple of times. Its the kind of place you didnt take your socks off in. The new AVP place is a lot better.

Speaking of dives, up in SWF, anyone know of the old hotel, where on the van ride from the airport, if you mentioned a code word to the driver, i think it was "Wolverine", he would give you the key to a certain room with a "special lady friend" waiting to spend some time with you, no questions asked.

Lit one up when I stayed at that place once, and someone in the next room over yelled about putting it out or something. Yep, thin walls.

How'd it go in Flobag Surf? Might not be too bad with that FA you had.....:D

I will never work for a sh!tty airline that forces it's own employees to stay in such places described in this thread.

French Fires in the bed and agreed to stay there a second night? I would have check into an upstanding hotel and demanding a reinburstment from the company. I was gaging reading some of this thread.

If you ever work for a regional airline landlover, it will be sh!tty!! And as for demanding from the company. That the best one I have heard in awhile!
Ya Opec! She said she would bring her GO GO boots on the next FLO overnight! :-)

I cannot recall of a time where crew complaints actually drove a hotel change at my airline. Comatting dingy linens to headquarters info reports up the wazoo, never worked. HOWEVER one of our Captains employed a fantastic strategy to get one hotel changed - He had a heated conversation with the hotel's owner that pissed the owner off so thoroughly that he kicked our company out! Gave us 30 days notice to never come back again. Long story short, hotel changed. Our company was royally peeved, but problem solved. He's my hero.

The Clarion at LGA always stands out as one I hope to never see again.

They converted a parking deck to a hotel complete with sloping hallways.

Not.

The hotel probably tried to raise the price on the company, so they switched.

When you kids finally figure it out, you might quit. But for now be very happy you are flying a huge Dash. When you get old enough, you will see it is quality of life, and not the equipment you fly. Good luck and get out when you can dipshiiit.

I fly a "huge" Dash because the paycheck is better here than it was when I was flying a shiny (old) jet. Quality of life is down because I continue to work for a cheap company, and commute on top of that. Judging by the gray hairs on my head, the "kid" comment is laughable.

Next time you have the desire to flame me over something, would you mind doing it in a coherent and understandable manner? Thanks in advance. Dipsh!t......

Was this the old Ramada, or whatever it was, by the truckstop!?!??!

...

Yea thats the one, by the truckstop in AVP.

Another odd one was the one in Albany. Im not sure what they were thinking when they built it, or if it was something else first. The hallway walls are very strange, kinda like some carnival fun house. They are maroon and look like a rockclimbing wall of some sort. And the rooms were slipshod also. I walk in and see this huge wall to wall mirror, half expected to see a mirror on the ceiling above the bed. So i had to look at myself all night, got tired of looking at myself. Merlindrvr88, get back in your cage.
