Last night after holding for JFK and deverting, then holding again, we were final cleared to land on 31L, when we were at 1500 ft on final, a lear got stuck on the runway and closed 31L. Back in the hold we were told that the airport was now closed due to a King AIR that had lost all instruments and was being vectered over head to try to pick up the field and land vissualy. Has any one heard or seen anything about it.

If you haven't heard anything, all's probably well. I witnessed a 421 running out of fuel in below-min viz do 2 missed approaches and then a u-turn to land opposite direction at ATL. Absolutely frightening and fascinating to me all all others listening, but just another successful landing to the media and general public.
