SLC is losing a Metro, a 1900, and 2 99 runs. I still haven't seen the letter, but the news was given today in dispatch. I think the number is something like 20 runs company wide.

Losing 4 of 13 runs at a base can't be good. Glad I'm not in the bottom half of the list anymore, but I feel really bad for the outstation guys.

Hopefully people that ship DHL will switch over to UPS and not Fed Ex, so some of our UPS flights will be upgraded...
I've been expecting this for a while, I just didn't think it would happen so soon. And with UPS taking over instead of FedEx, at least we'll have a chance at recovering some of the work, maybe in the form of upgrades or new routes. Knowing UPS, they'd probably create a new Blackfoot route before upgrading IDA and PIH.

Could be a lot worse. It's not like they handed the outstaion guys a pink slip. Just have to move, maybe take a pay cut, but with the industry the way it is, it's good just to have a decent seniority number and a livable wage.

How do you take a paycut from current 99 pay rates, man?

That's a lateral move if I ever saw one!
Like I said, a small chance. The situation would have to be right. I like that most EMBs are outstation based, and if I could conceivably move from the right seat to the left within a year, it would probably be worth the move. Just speculating and keeping my options open.
