it is about time

Get this thing started and over with. Get the cost of oil back down. Get the americans back in the air and traveling again and prove to these terorist that we are still number one!

Sadam issued a statement saying that he will carry the war to "everywhere there is air, land, and water"

Bring it on!!!!

My guess...

Monday: Fail to gain US support
Monday Night: President address to the nation. 24-48 hours given to Saddam to leave.
Wednesday: Fighting begins provided Iraq doesn't attempt an attack prior to then.

I believe that we'll actually begin the attack during the darkest night.... i.e. when the moom is at it's dimmest.

Makes sense, right? All of our troops are using night vision.

I heard that on CNN last week. Apparently, the British troops were doing a live fire exercise when Iraqi soldiers came running out waving white flags.
The British soldiers Sent the Iraqi soldiers back and told them that they couldn't surrender unless the war starts.

Full moon is Tuesday so I too assumed they wouldn't go in for a while but it appears they will. I assumed no sooner than the 25th which is the last quarter of the moon (new moon is April 1st).

However it is now being widely reported Wednesday is go day provided weather is acceptable. Bush can't make a long term threat against Iraq giving them time to launch attacks against our military in Kuwait or send chem/bio Scuds against Isreal. I think even Tuesday is possible...

For anybody with a better feel for this than myself: If Saddam succeeds in the use of chemical weapons, will he get nuked?

I agree. I think it's time to defecate or get off the commode. I’ve believe that we’ve still got to have some element of surprise as to when we actually pounce on them. I know, I know 200,000+ troops in the region and it’s not going to be much of a surprise when we do begin kicking some Iraqi ASS. But as to the day and the hour I think all we can do is speculate and just hope that if war is the option of last resort that it happens soon.

Yeah we saw a lot of white flag waving during Gulf War I and I think that we'll see even more in Gulf War II.

ACWild what were you thinking watching CNN? I can only guess that maybe HGTV went to commercial or that was the only channel that the TV in the Hotel had. :p

Ha ha, you got me. It was the only one that works in the hotel, but it was an entertaining piece.

NO WAY

Weather permitting??? Are we not an "all weather war machine" ?? :-d

What I can't figure out is why we didn't equip Dan Rather with a .45?? Heck, he could a popped a cap in the guy right there... Now, Rather would have been wacked a second later, but hey, he'd going out knowing that this time he DID something...... And just THINK of the RATINGS!!!

Let the other networks top THAT.

No guess; but if they do use WMD, Dubya will have a great big "tolja so" for the UN.

I truly believe that's the point Bush is trying to make. He is trying to provoke Saddam to attack first, and in doing so, proving to the world that he is hiding his weapons.

We'll have to wait and see, but it isn't going to last long.
