go over to MHR and see Vic at Mather Aviation. He might be able to give u a line or two. They are a PC-12 service center, he might be able to hook u up with ferry flights and such. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Props...Thanks....we service our 12 there.......but this annual is going to idaho...getting a GNS480 installed....But I'd love to get in on those ferry flights...I'll stop by and see him...thanks for the info....

<just found out I'm gonna be a DAD:D
so now I really need more werk:)

Vegas,
Assuming one was able to get hired for the best paying job of the ones you listed that were in Northern CA, what would that pay be? How much would it improve over the next 3-5 years?
I'm curious is these companies pay poor, good, or great.
Thanks.

Vegas is free to correct me if I screw any of this up...

Redding Aero pay is ~1500 a month, I think 2-2500 is tops.

Atkin pays by the flight hour, and I despise scheduling determining my paycheck.

If you want stability West Air ain't going anywhere, but they start in the (low?) 30's.

If you want a good schedule, Reach would be your target, but I'm unsure of their starting salary.

If you're an airline type, Skywest pay is on airlinepilotpay.com.

If you're low time and want a job that will get you somewhere, AmFlight is the place to go...without question.

If you're current, Sunset pays better than any of those on that list. I believe they start just shy of 50K with pretty good raises every year.

Yup, both for the EMB and CRJ 200 and now -700, also.

It goes junior for the F/O's, and senior for the captains.

If you don't have turbine PIC, it'll be a long while before you get some at SkyWest. REALLY long.

I believe west air and union flights both based some caravans at mather. As far as pay in N CA, it depends on what you call good. Unless you're willing to live in the bay area, you'd be lucky to make 50k a year. Most of the quality charter and corporate gigs are in the bay and are pretty difficult to get. Thats why I was asking for exact desires in a previous post. Most positions are in so cal or the bay area, the ones I listed were some smaller operators up here. Pay is lower, but I think QOL is much better.

Does West air have a base in Sac?

west air does indeed have some SAC bases, but they will want you to fly the south swamp (ontario) for awhile before youll get there.

Yup...out of SMF, but as KingAir says, you will probably be flying out of ONT for a bit. But, there is some movement going on so it wouldn't be forever (but it might feel like it).

While yer at SMF, head over to Beneto, by the FAA hangar. They have a couple of Citations and might be looking. Ask to speak to a guy with the initals of B.B.

They have a Ultra and a II (i think the II is still around)

Former...no. I'm more of a contract guy myself. Drop me a line if you have any questions, I might even be able to get you a number for one of their line pilots.
