Position: Flight Crew Training Instructor - Piston Training
Location: CAPT Program, Flagler County Airport, Palm Coast, FL and other Florida locations


CAPT offers a diversified array of professional pilot training programs. Our training programs utilize leading edge technology and a unique curriculum to deliver training that is unmatched. The CAPT Program is seeking qualified Flight Instructors to provide quality training to customers using a FITS compliant, scenario based, FAA approved curricula.

The responsibilities of a Flight Crew Training Instructor include but are not limited to:

Deliver professional training for FAA certification programs from Private Pilot through ATP including Type Ratings.
Conduct instructor/evaluator initial, recurrent or proficiency flight and ground training as required.
Utilize state of the art technically advanced aircraft and devices to conduct training that focuses on aeronautical decision making.
Apply your experience and instructional skills in a challenging, highly structured learning environment.
Team with peer instructors tasked with special assignments.


Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED:
CFII, Two years of college (or equivalent experience)
PREFERRED:
MEI
DESIRED:
Master CFI and Gold Seal CFI's
Bachelor's degree
Garmin 430/530 Experience
Knowledge and experience with the FAA FITS training philosophy and techniques

FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR PAY STRUCTURE
CFI and CFII Ratings

Wages start at $16 per hour with an increase to $17 per hour after completing MEI (or 6 months service whichever occurs first)
Company pays for MEI
12 month commitment required


All CFI ratings (CFI, CFII, and MEI)

Wages start at $17 per hour
A $1000 bonus will be paid after 90 days of service
A relocation cost reimbursement up to $500 paid after completing the acceptance flight.
Instructors will receive extra pay once becoming check instructor qualified.


All CFI Ratings plus at least 500 hours Dual Given

Wages start at $17 per hour
Instructors will receive a $1020 per month guaranteed (60 hours per month)
If starting with less than 500 hours but reaching 500 hours dual given while at CAPT, a minimum 90 days service is required to receive guarantee.
A $500 signing bonus will be paid with the first pay check
A relocation cost reimbursement up to $500 paid after completing the acceptance flight
A $1000 bonus will be paid after 90 days of service
Extra pay for check instructor designation (+$1 per hour)


Meets Part 135 IFR minimums plus at least 500 hours of dual given

Wages start at $19 per hour
Instructors will receive a $1425 per month guaranteed (75 hours per month)
A $1000 signing bonus will be paid with the first pay check
A relocation cost reimbursement up to $500 paid after completing acceptance flight.
A $1000 additional bonus will be paid after receiving Part 135 approval (or 90 days service whichever occurs first)
Possible 4 day per week schedule depending on student enrollment


3000 hours TT, IFR Part 135 mins, plus at least 500 hours dual given

Wages will start at $45,000 per year salary
A typical work week will be 4 days/10 hours each day depending on student enrollment
$17 per hour extra will be paid for each hour dual given or in the classroom for work beyond normal schedule.
A $1000 signing bonus will be paid with first pay check
A relocation cost reimbursement up to $500 paid after completing acceptance flight.
A $1000 bonus to be paid after 90 days (or upon completion of Part 135 check)
Annual cost of living adjustment (based on merit)


Part-time Flight Instructors

$16 per hour (CFI and CFII ratings)
$17 per hour (all ratings)
Additional pay for check instructor or special assignments


Opportunities for Commercial Pilots

Applicant must have a Commercial SEL and MEL ratings
Applicant must have at least the AGI certificate
Applicant must also have the FOI completed
Wages will start at $12 per hour with an increase to $17 per hour after completing the acceptance flight
CAPT pays for the training toward the MEI, CFI and CFII but does NOT pay for examiner or knowledge test fees.
Extra training, if required, is at the employee's expense
Employee may be assigned to teach ground school, dispatch, or other related duties
Typical paid work day will be 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
12 month commitment required

All of the above positions include standard CAPT benefits including:
Company pays 80% of health insurance premiums not only for employee but also for spouse and children (begins 1 month after hiring).
Company matches employee contributions to 401K plan up to 8% (6 month time in service required to begin).
Company paid life insurance up to annual salary with limit of $50,000.
Workers compensation insurance.
Company paid short-term and long-term disability.
12 holidays each year.
12 (non-exempt) or 18 (exempt) days per year (first year) of personal leave (sick days or vacation).
Uniform allowance.
