lookin for a good rate in Austin (hotel)

unfortunately our La quinta will not honor the 65 dollar negotiated rate that is posted on SWOL, screw them anyway if they dont want my business, i got the usual "thats only for company business" whatever!

anyone know of a good place?

Try the Holiday Inn Town Lake

Holiday Inn at Town Lake is close to everything and has an aiport shuttle. Sometimes, you get a crew rate, but not when it's booked for a convention.

The airport Hampton Inn has given me a really good rate in the past.

Embassy Suites downtown has been known to give a crew rate, but same conditions as Holiday Inn stated above.

You can get a nice hotel cheaper than that on priceline.com (bidding on the price). I got the extended stay America for only $30 a while ago near downtown. Checkout www.biddingfortravel.com to see what the minimum prices are to bid to get a certain hotel..
