Long days

Whatever the boss wants because I'm too chickensh!t to tell him no.

Signed,
75% of all chief pilots.

Its hard to refuse to work an extra few hours when we spend 90% of our time not flying. I have been flying for small 91 flight departments for the last 25 years. The owners and managers work incredibly long hours to keep the company profitable.
We (pilots) have the final say so and are never pressured if safety is a concern.

I hope the peeps in the back realizes that flying with a tired pilot is like flying with a drunk pilot.

Man...after reading this thread, its no wonder i ended up on the chit-list at a former employer (for denying a 19 hour single pilot duty day) it seems theres a list of fruitcakes a mile long that would gladly do it :p

Delivering a freighted out Beech 18 to its new owner. Long Beach, CA to Opa Locka, FL, 13.7hrs on the hobbs. A close second would be a Merlin IVA, Denver to Vernal, UT, to Salina, KS to Nashville, TN to Salina, KS to Van Nuys, CA; 12.7hrs.
