I have always wanted to do long haul cargo flying and I know UPS and FDX are the dream jobs but lets face it they are not going to be doing a lot of hiring in the near future. So I was wondering what other decent companies there are out there to work for. Are Atlas and Polar decent gigs? What kind of schedules are the norm for these types of operations. Which ones should be avoided. Is commuting feasible at the carriers who dont do home basing? Any info would be appreciated

Gemini has a lot of posts on this site. They seem to be a direct route to UPS. World Airways seems to be a good one to go to and stay. Have one buddy there that loves it, works min sched and makes over 100K.

STN: London/Stansted.

Jade Cargo, Great Wall Airlines, Singapore Cargo and Cathay Pacific Cargo. All 747 operatores who are also worth having a look at, if you fancy moving abroad.

Jade is 49% owned by Lufthansa Cargo. LHC only hires JAR licensed crew members for their MD-11s, but I belive Jade accepts FAA licenses.
