Wondering the proper way to log time in a level C sim? I have been told you can log it as time in type, MEL, PIC, basically just like the airplane. Doesn't sound quite right to me.

Should you log it as dual recieved?

Any ideas? I'm not sure.

This has been done to death on this board. In fact, here is a very similar thread currently running. Do a search, and you will get all the opinions you can handle.

My short answer is no you can't log it in that manner. It is not "flight" time. It may be logged as dual received per 61.55(h). It is NOT time in type, PIC, MEL, etc.

Hi!

Airlines will accept it logged as SIM time. Basically, they won't accept it logged anywhere else (including total or multi-engine time).

If you log it only as SIM time, no airline will have a problem with it.
