I am trying to make the digital transition and put my flight time into a computer where it is easier to keep track of and separate into various categories. Does anybody have any recommendations on specific programs you can purchase? Thanks.

Well, if you look to the left at all the ads that are part of this board, you should see an ad for Logbook Pro. I don't use it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. If you don't see the ad, then just click here:http://www.logbookpro.com/

I am in the process of putting mine on the computer and I just used MS Excel and made my own. This way I can put in whatever info and times I want and it is very easy to do and hasn't cost me a dime.

second on the Excel... customize categories, add columns and rows. You can even sort with it! ;)

*don't forget to back it up!

And you can easily import your excel data (saved as tab delimited) if you ever want the power of Logbook Pro.
