I recently purchased logbook pro from N-C Software. I have a problem.

For some reason, my actual logbook window is tiny. The complete page fills my screen, but the actual logbook window is only about four by six inches. To make entries, I have to scroll back and forth. I've heard too many good things about logbook pro to assume that this is a normal situation. I would like to go to the logbook pro website, and ask a question on their forum, but guess what??? When I open the logbook pro web browser, it opens in a window sized about one by two inches. It's sort of ticking me off, to have about 90% of my screen filled with functions that I have no need for, yet the actual working part of the software is too danged small to function.

what could I be doing wrong? I've gone through all of the menus looking for a tool to increase the window size, to no avail. Help, please

Are you using spreadsheet or windows style?

I use the spreadsheet style for now (at least until training is done) and I just maximize THAT window so I don't have to scroll as much (still do, but not as much).

If that isn't the problem....i have no idea

mini, I've tried both spreadsheet and windows, neither style utilizes the full screen. I wonder if I somehow ended up with a PDA version or something. I bought a large (heavy) laptop, so that my old tired eyes could see everything, and now logbook pro won't use most of the screen.

BTW, I was able to get to the n-c software site using another browser, mozilla, and I can read his site fine when I log on with mozilla. But, if I attempt to access the n-c software site through the built in logbook pro web access, the screen stays tiny.

I have just read the official n-c software response to another user who seems to be suffering from the same problem I face, but the fix offered to that user doesn't work for me. I can't find the button that Neal says will fix the problem.

I'm beginning to wonder if this software wasn't meant for techies, and gen X'rs. It's too da ned much like windows for my liking.

I tried downloading the trial version, but can't get it to run. I downloaded it again, and then again, and still keep getting some little popup screen that says something about not all the components being there. It downloaded fine, said it was installed, and then wouldn't run.

As stated in post number 2, I was finally able to find the logbook pro website when I searched with my regular browser. I posted a question on their help forum and they answered pretty quickly.

I still don't know what was wrong, but I was instructed to go to the windows install/uninstall section of my computer and us the "repair" function of the uninstall program. It worked, now my spreadsheet size for logbook entry fits the entire screen instead of only taking up about 1/3 of the screen.

Thanks everyone,
